Salutations, Felicitations, Other Well-Met Iterations
Good day to you all. My name is, perhaps unsurprisingly, Dan Cottle. I'd call myself a regular Joe, but for a few reasons. One, I'm a member of H2G2 (finally), so you aren't going to believe that. Two, I've just told you that my name is Dan (Nothing gets past you, huh?). Three: Where's the fun in being the same as everyone else? Variety is, as they say, the spice of life. (Though you have to wonder, if this is the case, why do they keep saying it? The mind boggles.)
Anyways, I'm assuming I'm supposed to tell you exactly who I am round about now - although exactly how a person can be adequately described in a few words on a page is beyond me (Royalty, C-list celebrities and politicians are the exceptions that prove the rule, of course). I'll do my best.
I was born and raised in the South-West of England, in the sunny town of Ivybridge. As I write, I'm nineteen years old, due to turn twenty in october. I'm around about 6'2", though what relevance that has is beyond me. I'm just about to finish my first academic year as a BSc (Hons) Environmental Protection student at Bournemouth university. My hobbies include being insufferably theatrical, and being a member of an amateur band back home with some very good friends of mine. I sing, whenever I'm allowed to, and am learning (very slowly) to play the guitar. It's my firm belief that without some kind of creative outlet, I'd have lost the plot by now.
