Did you know that you can put your explanation of the photo under the image itself and can write a blurb (as big as you want)?

There are several ways of doing it.

1) In folder view (rows of "albums" visible): Under each "album" you
will see "Edit properties". You can edit the album title and a
description of the album.

2) In album view (album open, rows of images visible): on then left
side of your screen, you will see "Bulk edit". Click on that and you
will see each image with "Title", "Description", etc. Do your titles
etc., for weach image and either "save and return to album" or "save
and go to next page" (if there is more than one page of images).

3) In album view: under each image, you will see "edit". Click on that
to edit a single image title and description

4) In image view (single image visible on your screen): Beneath the
image, you will see "edit". Click to edit.

5) Also in image view: On the left side of the screen, you will see
"Edit properties". Click and edit....

You also don't run the risk of losing it all if you accidentally hit "delete comments".

I will have to take a photo of my house. I have one on Fotki of it suring a snow squall... but I want it to look as if I might actually WANT to live in it.

I wasn't sure if you had a free or paid space. Mine is paid, so I don't have to worry about space.

If you wanted, I could host the album. That way you could reduce the load on your personal space. Fotki has a great method of loading images simply by emailing them. You can load a few at a time, that way. You simply go into Album Properties> Advanced Options, scroll down to MMS/ Email code and add a unique code into the space (anythoing will do, a number or a easily recalled word) and all you have to do is email the image to + @fotki.com

For instance [email protected]

Within a few minutes, photos are loaded.

I would not open it up for everyone to send their own images, otherwise you run the risk of someone abusing the system.

Again, if you found that there were too many images for your account, I would be happy to host it for you.

What I meant was that I wouldn't make it possible for people to email their image directly into the folder. I would, rather, have them send it directly to you or post it where you can copy it and you do the uploading or emailing of it to Fotki....

Well, thanks for that offer! I'll see how the resonance is... It all developed out of another thread, for which I opened the account to post pictures people were referring to, and then we all decided we wanted to see where the others live!

Yes, I have a fairly large capacity email account that I no longer use for most other things, so that's where I'm having people send things...
