Who is Istagi?
Istagi may seem like a strange name, however after at bit of explanation that strangeness will melt away. I think the best place to start is its origin. As you may have guessed Istagi is not an English word. I will also say that it is neither Hungarian nor Russian even though similar words exist in those two languages. There may be others but so far that is all I have found. The word is actually Lakota, a branch of the Siouan language from North America. Now lets move on to pronunciation of Istagi. In the Lakota language:
I is pronounced EE as in week.
S is pronounced SH as in share
T is exactly what you would expect T as in Table but accented
A is pronounced A as in arm
G is pronounced G as in great but slightly guttural
So let us try it phonetically
Istagi = Eesh’tagee
Ok so now you can say it, but what does Istagi mean? It is a Lakota word made up of two root words Ista - eye and gi – brown. It is my last name “Brown Eyes”. Plural, in this case is implied. The answers to your next two questions are.

Yes my eyes really are brown; unfortunately my wife’s eyes are blue.
I live, work, and play in Denver Colorado.

Hobbies – Northern Traditional dancer, artist, signer. I also enjoy movies, home theater, geology, and weather, in my spare time.
I am married, no children, and live with 4 cats and 2 sugar gliders. We have no plans to have human children so our little ones will remain small furry and either underfoot or on our shoulder.
