Some good news: I am now in gainful employment. Sainsbury's plc. has kindly accepted my application for the position of General Assistant after I duly impressed them with my customer-satisfying potential. We had some training last week and I begin work on Friday, as in Good Friday, which should be an interesting day to start. Also, the store only opens tomorrow, so none of us know what we're doing yet, especially as two of the three days training was spent learning how to work the tills and smile at customers, which is not what most of us, myself included, will be doing.
I elected to only work part-time at Sainsbury's, thus leaving myself plenty of time in which to search for other, more scientific, jobs or to just curl up in a chair with the crossword, whatever I feel like. Unfortunately I reckoned without the machinations of my dad, who has talked me into returning to the place he works to help in the warehouse two days a week (where was this offer when I needed it, eh?).
My week is now looking a bit busy:
Monday - warehouse
Tuesday - volunteering (I could knock this on the head, but I'd rather not)
Wednesday - European Computer Driving Licence course (mornings only and not on over Easter anyroad)
Thursday - warehouse
Friday - Sainsbury's
Saturday - Sainsbury's (very early start, yikes)
Sunday - Sainsbury's (half day only, but another early start)
Whew! But then I was getting fed up with having nothing to do all day. I should be careful what I pray for.
On another note ONLY 2 DAYS 22 HOURS UNTIL THE NEW DOCTOR WHO SERIES!

A whole brand new supermarket? I just started work at a brand cinema which has a brand new kitchen and a brand new bar - I've never seen so much siny new stainless steel 
And working at a new establishment is always good because everyone's in the same boat and no-one can be all snooty about about having 'been here for ages'

Nah, it's the old Somerfield refitted, so not all the staff are new. We're a two supermarket town, so it's been quite difficult to swing a cat in Safeway lately. I had to downgrade to swinging a kitten.
