Hey, Recumbentman. I noticed you replied in that thread where I made my first comment on h2g2. It was three years later but still.

No it's still there, but it is the second half of a program about the Muslimification of Europe.

(cummulative)
Your standing wave theory is a good one, although ten years later it is more likely to be someone illegally talking on a mobile phone, or even playing on an iPhone.

Yeah... what with technological advancements like MP3s and satellite radio we're no longer slaves to the D.J.
But I'd tolerate Oasis on permanent rotation if it would mean not having to deal with people driving while using cell phones.

Mighty! Yes I was three or four years late but at least you've read it! But let's not get started on bikes here . . .

I'll have a listen to that equal temperament spot . . . but right now the BBC iPlayer is down for maintenance.
I'm horribly embarrassed to read your Equal Temperament entry, G: A428852 -- I covered the same ground, a lot less clearly no doubt, over three years later in my second Sol-fa entry A1339076 and I didn't even look around to find your entry and link to it. Will remedy that now.

Strange . . . your excellent A428852 is not in the edited guide. Why not? I want to link to it!

Does an entry need to be in the EG to get a link from an EG entry? It's just a link.

Yes, an entry needs to be Edited before another Edited Entry can link to it. We don't want the readers of the Edited Guide to wander off into the craziness that is the unedited guide, thinking it is all part of the same.

Which your temperament article is not. Did you not submit it?

Gnomon - time to move on Posted Sep 3, 2009
No. I can't remember why I didn't originally. When your one came along, I decided it wasn't worth submitting mine.

It's such a fascinating bit of maths, we try a hundred ways to make it accessible and are met with glazed irises.
Your approach is most elegant, and I think that it should be in there for people to try when their eyes glance off mine, unable to focus.

I've decided to see if I can find anyone else that joined h2g2 the same day as I did. I started a thread in Ask (F19585?thread=6901077) and I'm going to see how many actual users I can find by searching.
I don't think I'll get all the way through as there were over 35,000 new users on 9.9.1999.
Oh, of course I'm searching the user spaces in Classic Goo.
I'm getting all nostalgic.
