Yes, I did post in the announcement thread, and I did say that talking much about how you personal and private journals might be, would probably draw much traffic to your journal, especially from a much tweeted and publicised thread. Less so from a slightly less publicised thread in Ask.

I still believe it is so.

There is another thread, in Ask very much about that, and I still think it might be better to keep the discussion in one place, than to spread it around to many threads.

I don't mind the discussion, honestly, but it does my head in to follow the same sort of discussion in several places. You were not the only one in the journal and privacy topic, so it wasn't only for you to change.

And it wasn't as an official hat on message, but my own feeling and thoughts. I wasn't, and am not, going to yikes or enforce it.

It was a suggestion only, and with some of my reasons why as explanation.

Actually, I was probably trying to protect your journal from traffic, since I got the impression that you didn't like too much visitors, but of course I probably got that wrong too.

I don't care about traffic here.

For ages now I'm used to my eyes always being on..so I know people come here.

I was interested in maybe changing the way people think about journals and re-writing the blurb...but I'm never going to fit in with that Volunteer lot.

I must have drawn the wrong conclusions from the discussion back on the Announcement thread. Sorry.

Well I'm all at sea today because I made the mistake of getting involved with threads that half the time I don't understand. I'm utterly confused by that stuff.

I'm not making that mistake again.

From now on its journals, and Ask for me.

And maybe attempt another entry at some point.

Sorry I should have actually thanked you for taking the trouble to apologise..even though I don't know what for.

But it was thoughtful to do it.

I feel a lot better now that a firm decision to keep a away from those 'Volunteer' threads.

I so want this place to feel like fun again.

I absolutely love the NaPoMoJo thing. And it'll be good to finally put the caddis to bed. Then I can possibly think about maybe doing one or even two entries to do with my garden projects..chat with people I really get along with like anhaga and any others that are still here on my friends' list and you of course..and a bit of general chat and banter.

I really hope some new people come here that I can get along with and have some fun.
