Mrs Zen are there likely to be other t-shirt designs becoming available?

There are, at the moment we're very limited on what we can do with rights etc. But we do have more designs up our sleeves - and we'll get that out as soon as we have permission to use them.

How about the non-dolphin hootoo one? Like I'm pretty sure I've said elsewhere, I don't even *use* the word hootoo and love that design... But I can wait. This is much easier to wait on than info on the house...

Cheers Z.

Is the need for people to start contributing urgent?

Or can we wait a bit?

Wait if you need to Effers. smiley - smiley There will be more designs on their way. We wanted to get the first of them up before the meet.

If you are shipping to the States, you may like to buy from the american store http://www.zazzle.com/h2g2c2

Hi Effers,

I am really sorry you were caught out by the pricing in the shop.

If you are disappointed, think how we feel about it. smiley - brave We were completely torn - should we set he prices higher, make more per item, sell fewer things and just make them plain unaffordable to many people? In the end we opted for slimmer margins to make the items more affordable.

It's not ideal, but we looked into several options, and this one gave he best mix of products and has sites in both he UK and the US.

It makes a hige difference knowing we have peoples' support. We are caught in this ridiculous situation where we can't talk to people about what we are doing and we can't comment on the speculation on the site. So it is really encouraging to have your support. I am not saying that to be nice, I am saying it because it is true.

So thank you very much. We really appreciate it.

Ben

I feel like a total idiot. I'm too embarrassed to even tell anyone that I paid £11.60 for a mug...just like that. It's mental. I had some bizarre idea that the prices were set high so people could donate in a way that actually meant something, I didn't realsise it was a way for this company to shaft people.

I have an achilles heel of naivite at times that shocks people...myself included.

I'm incredibly upset because I did this thing in a totally trusting way because I care so much about h2g2 and hate the BBC for dumping something so wonderful.

I'm more angry than you can imagine.

When the book's ready, what will h2g2c2 get from that?

Effers, I don't want you to feel like that. I'll see if we can cancel the order behind the scenes. I don't personally have the admin login for , so I'd have to text the person who does, but it should still be possible - if it's not I think we can still do a refund. I may need to have some more details so I know which order it is, so I'll e mail the adress in this thread. I can't do this until tomorrow but do let me know if you want me to.

Yes, when the book's ready we may be able to make more per book, we think that we can get them printed for £5 each and we hope we could sell them for £10.

Mrs Zen don't bother with trying to cancel it...that'll be more on your plate..it's to do with my own stupidity as much as anything...I should have looked at the percentages.

I hugely admire all the work you're doing and realise the complexities.

Please...I'll get over it. Just leave it.

Getting very angry and upset about something is fairly normal for me.

Oh right relying to Z..not Mrs Zen.

These things are going to happen given the various people helping out - doing far more than me. I can calm down and reflect. I don't want you to have more on your plate.

Hi Effers.

If it helps, I assumed the same thing about the prices so you are certainly not alone. That was why we mentioned the margins in the announcement. I am annoyed with myself that I didn't get a roundto (we need to sell those too) dropping the links to that into convos earlier. As Ben says, it is incredibly frustrating to not be able to be really as visible as we'd like when publicising our activities on site.

But like Ben also said, the support is much appreciated.
