Taff Agent of kaos

i wasn't having a dig at you

just your post reminded me of a party we had at our house

working on a buget we buy the generic type spirits, tesco value vodka and gin and faux southern comfort called southern belle

these we then put into 1l bottles of the original drink, so we don't look tight

the wifes aunty wanted a vodka and coke, so i used the last of the value vodka from the value bottle, she took a few sips and said she didn't like it, did i have anything better???

so i poured her a value vodka from the smirnoff bottle, she said that was much better and that you could taste the difference

it was all i could do to keep my face straightsmiley - winkeye

smiley - laugh That's brilliant Taff. I'll remember that one. I might even try to play it on myself...

I first got into vodka when I visited Russia. My god it was as cheap as a bottle of milk here. It was everywhere and good stuff. The word vodka actually means 'little water' in Russian. I got friendly with a woman who invited me back to the family house for a meal. The vodka was poured out into tumblers, and periodically during the meal toasts were made, and you had to take a bit of salt and bread, or even just sniff on the salt and throw back the stuff. But somehow it seemed to fit with being there...it was bloody cold, but however drunk I got I never had a hangover.
