I just got out drawer upon drawer of old poems and writings..
There's so much. And I think half of it was already thrown away 
there's a lot of good stuff..and lots of rubbish..
Every so often I'm going to poem a journal.
This is one.
I had a long term relationship with a neuroscientist..he was married and a workaholic. We didn't get a lot of time together 
Some aspects of our relationship were quite surreal. Like funny creative things we'd do.
One day an envelope arrived..my name and address printed. I opened it. All that was there were some yellow crystals.
I wrote this to do with it.

MEPHISTO SENDS THE SIGN
How strange methinks
What *can* these crystals be?
From whom camest they?
Ah ha!
Suspicion meets with confirmation,
As brimstone drops in flame appear;
And acrid fumes
Upon olefactory senses
Inflict their devilish airs.
This poem had a strange real life post script which I might talk about at some point.
