Forget the new account thing. It's as clear as day to me that someone is doing that. Please don't get involved. I'll deal in my own way.

***

I'm an artist. And for sometime I was part of a performance group. We did stuff at various events. I wrote the poetry material and sung. Others played instruments. Also we did weird bits of acting.

The songs were mostly various traditional English ones..or using traditional tunes but up new words.

The funniest I think was when I sung the God Save the Queen, our national anthem..lying flat on my back in the gallery.

Its different when you sing in a group though..didn't get into that at school..too busy playing sports in extra curricular time.

But I absolutely loved singing hymns in morning assembly as I got older.

Being on stage though and performing..is a kind of magic as you are in a special space..and viewed by an audience.

I don't do performance any more though.

Singing with a group, or on stage is indeed very lovely. It makes me happy. Even just rehearsing is a special time for me.

Must go to bed, almost midnight here.

Goodnight.

It's good getting to know you and affirm for me there are some decent people here I can trust again.

But there's some here I truly hate now with a vengence.

I'm off to listen some music.

Dr. Zen which episode was it that dealt with the beginning of farming?

If you know. I would be very interested to watch that because the Neolithic period utterly fascinates me..and what a momentous change they was.

All the forward thinking thing and planning that would suddenly occur.

A whole new cognition that you could see would lead to creativity of thought processes.

(I was born just down the road from the North Downs in Kent that have numerous Neolithic barrows and standing stones. Also at the age of 6 I tried to build a Neolithic house in the garden..after watching a schools' programme on it.

smiley - snork I made it far too big and ambitious..what's new? It failed to get above about 6 inches in height.)

Actually don't bother. I just saw the series is presented by that incredibly patronising and annoying Neil Oliver. The guy is just embarrasingly didactic and makes everything so dull despite the accent he puts on to its full extent.

I cannot stand any of his programmes.

Hi Effers

(replying to post 24 here)

It was the first episode that dealt with it http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b0108tsq

The thing that intriged me most was they were talking about a way of life of the mammoth hunters, a way of life that continued for thousands and thousands of years then fell apart.

I can't image anything *at all* being constant for that long then changing.

Yes hunter/gatherer culture went on for ever and still does in one or two places..and obviously lots before European Imperialism.

i don't know about fell apart..but I know it started in the middle east.

And I do think it was the biggest change of all..

I seriously can't bear that guy though smiley - laugh It's visceral smiley - winkeye

Not everything beeb meets with my approval smiley - winkeye

Thanks for linking.

I just can't believe it.

I posted on that place to sign up for writing everyday in a journal in November..fairly humourously nothing awful.

It's been temporarily hidden until someone can make a decision.

I've now posted I'm not doing it as part of that thing...being treated like a child.

I'm an artist with a 2(i) in Fine Art from the top art school in Britain..

I've shown sculpture..done Performance and Installation in various places in London..and they treat me like a tiny little kid.

You can bet your sweet life I'm no longer interested in curating the book storage idea..that *I* had..which any intelligent person would get quite excited about..as something a bit different for this place..and linking the written word with the visual.

They just treat me incredibly.

And that JoMo Po Mo to be signed up for....that I joked a bit about..

Forget it. No more input from me for new h2g2 using my Fine Art back ground and *thinking*

They can stick to their competitions and their other artists here to do stuff.

Dr. Zen how would you feel if you were involved with a web site..where people were looking at medicine and healing, and you were trying to fit in with a lot of people with no medical training..and also you were trying to find a way to be part of things and contribute..and having ideas for healing based on your training..but you didn't express yourself 100% politely at all times..but were sometimes a bit brusque but in no way *nasty*...and you were treated like a 3 year old subjected to people making decisions about 100% politeness or not..but
NOT seeing the bigger picture..of all the possibilities of what you could GIVE?

Plus you had a personality like mine.

anhaga is so right about the *smallness* here. The narrow unimaginative thinking.

For Christ sakes I love this place. Cut me a bit of slack can't you at present during this great cultural upheaval. It cuts me deeply the way its going here.

I could give so much with a bit of....I don't know what.

All these incredibly strict rules and regulations..except its my peers interpreting them now.

I start to hate it. You won't let me give you anything. Because of how I am.

This is what many artists are like..not illustrators. ARTISTS.

Your choice. I want to give but you won't let me.

I'm off now for a bit.

To my individualistic artistic nature would be about 6 months here in which we can totally get over all the censorship and angst stuff that happened in the last year or so..a lot to do with right wing politics impinging on the beeb.

The Tories have now brought in some right Christian organisation to influence parenting.

All to do with Big Society.

Of course that ps of mine was banned by the beeb.

Actually not the beeb..the people shafting her.

**

After that we can really face where we want to go.

But we do need to get over a lot of stuff for a bit..and be quite forgiving of one another.

Well to be honest I do..maybe not others.

And I'm such a different person from a year ago..when h2g2 was a fairly small part of my life...and now its massive.
