Who cares about new hoo too?
Effers;England. Started conversation Jun 20, 2011
It's becoming clearer to me that the previous owners of us don't give a damn.
It's all going on in darkness. Not dissimilar to the way members of the public have been treated about the sale of tickets for London 2012...treated like idiots.
Could you imagine Royalty, MPs etc putting up with this ShT?
No because it wouldn't happen that way for them.
We are are seen as Crp..and that's how we are treated.
I find it quite incredible that I paid £145.50 to the BBC last month...and they think this is an okay way to treat people.
NO INFORMATION about anything.
They must see all the threads here on Ask. Be aware of people's anxieties...But NOTHING.

No I'll happily take it in the neck.
I think it's outrageous that by Law they get all that money every year from us...and they behave like this...with not even a little note to tell us what's happening.
Ordinary people are treated like stupid m*ns
The BBC is so unbelievably arrogant it's not true.

You're NOT in control. None of us are.
It's this community that's built up over more than 10 years...and they do THIS.
No wonder some of us are going mental.
It's a community..
They are like SLAVE TRADERS.

Yes it's a crock.
Hence when my tag read, 'I hate the BBC' it was censored by them. This was one passed the censor.
It's because we are a community of people...the way its being handled is ing horrible.
And the way things are going for me here on h2g2..I'm worried I won't have any friends left at the end of it.
I'm acting pretty strange I think...

Taff.
But when it was first announced I didn't for 3 days apart from a bowl of soup..and hardly slept.
It's to do with it being a community.
Maybe it's to do with my childhood? I had the community of that ripped away from me when I was 7...just so we could go up in the world as a family.
It might sound poor me...but I never got over that.

When one talks about something..you sometimes get that feeling, yes this is the very bottom of it..this is it.
That move from the countryside which I loved so much, and the gang of boys I ran wild with...to this stupid mock Victorian place on a busy main road...is something I still can't really talk properly about.
It's my journal so i can talk personally I suppose.

I'd just like to say thank you for paying your licence fees so that us foreigners who don't have to pay can hang out with you.
And, more seriously, I find myself being pretty philosophical (i.e. apathetically resigned) toward the whole thing. I got in on it pretty early -- although not as early as some -- and it's been a good run. I'm feeling optimistic that the place will continue in some form and, if it doesn't, the big world will carry on.
I've been through loads of real life communities over the years and most of them have long since broken up. That's the way my world is.
And, on the subject of real life communities, here's the first cyberspace mention of something I'm about to start on . . .
A series of fairly large canvases with rapidly done portraits of the people I regularly meet in the course of my daily peregrinations: the meat pie man, the Mexican grocers, the brewery people, the calzone guy, my neighbours at their various activities. . .
And I'll call the whole series 'My Village'.
And, one day, I won't be seeing those people each day -- some will move on, I will move on from some.
But the memories will still be there.
I should sleep.

Taff.
It's just nice knowing you can cope with me mentioning it.
it really is pretty full on.
I can't make much sense posting here about it at present.
It's a hell of a relief to mention it.
I have on and off in my life..a bit.
My parents can't stand it..well a bit more now.
They know I think that their intense ambition to go up in the world blinded them to everything else. At least my dad did actually get more or less to the top. So money isn't a problem for me.
Everything else is though.

'no village is complete with out its idiot'
Actually, I think I have that covered.
I was planning to do a self-portrait with my current almost-six-months growth of beard.
In my usual street-person attire.
Riding my unicycle.

Yeah you can't take it with you.
When my dad left school his first job was shovelling manure on a farm...and yes he did very very well.
But...but...oh I don't know
I think they are quite ashamed now when they go on their cruises..and people talk about what the children have achieved.. I don't think I get much of a mention...my brother does though...

My parents go on cruises, too!
And I flatter myself that I get mentions . . . Scholar of Anglo-Saxon poetry, hauler of pigs' blood for U2, dilettante artist, business advisor to sausage makers, brewers and calzone bakers . . .
Or maybe they just stay quiet.
