Hiya. Please excuse the impersonal nature of this cut'n'pasted message - I've got to get through about 150 of them tonight.
Sometime in the last decade or so you expressed an interest in volunteering for the Guru scheme. If you're still interested (or if you actually are a Guru ) could you please pop over to A86854413 and let me know. There's a fuller explanation over there.
Thanks,
Peet

I was a guru for a while, and a useful one at that as I was one of the few on during the wee hours to help.
As to doing it again, lets see how much I use this incarnation of h2g2 first...

Not a problem, HD, but if you're a late-nighter you would be really handy to have around when the BBC send out the big batch of "Transfer" emails. We need Gurus to man the email address 24/7 if possible.

Then you would need to ask for a Guru badge; it lets you into various super-secret support areas. When you get fed up of it just say and it'll vanish...

Instructions at the top of this thread. You need to register with a couple of other sites (I know, I know...) but they are just temporary places where Gurus get "trained" in the transfer.
I'm off to bed now, but I'll check the signup thread in the morning.
(I don't have direct control of the badgeage yet - at the moment I can just direct you to those who do...)
If it sounds like too much hassle, no worries.
