We had no luck at all with timiing this week-end. I ran off to the beach with my girlfriend Anna, the last days of summer are here. The water temp was fabulous. Yesterday the water was blue and green caribbean dream. Today because of Hurricane Gordan heading into Tampa ETA tomorrow, the surf was really up. I had a hard time keeping my swimtop on and lost my goggles. The waves had kicked up and I body surfed. The surf just pounded me into the sand and buffed my bod. I loved it.
I am so sorry about your car, I hope it will be fixed soon and all will be well. I don't know if I told you but my sister wrecked my Mazda on Memorial Day week-end, it was great on gas. Now I'm driving a gas hog 1984 Crysler LeBaron convertible, but it's fun. Anna and I took the road trip to Pensacola in her white corvette. Not very comfortable but VA VA Va Voom! We didn't go out to any clubs or anything but spent the night at a boyfriend of hers' house. The main thing was to take advantage of a perfect beach week-end.
It is really rare that I go away, so I am so sorry that it did not coincide with you having some time to burn on me. I say that with all respect, kuz you light my fire. I understand that you are oftentimes busy. No problem, No solution.
I'll be here for you.
News! While I was gone I had a phonecall from the job interview, I went on for the Day Spa. I will return it Monday.
Its a Taurus Moon tonight and I am feeling hot! It probably has a lot to do with my solor plexus being recharge from the sunshine at the beach. I'll be thinking of you.

Drizzel! I couldn't handle that for long, it is bad enough here when it drizzels and its warm, a cold drizzel would kill me. I've been studying today. I also got lost in the convertible for hours just
riding down country roads in the sunshine.

Soild Cold Rain for about 4 days now, should clear tommorow afternoon according to the wheatherperson. I'm jelous again, recreational driveing - we still have a bit of a fuel crisis here, the que's at the gas station are now down to about 30 mins. Talk to you soon.

I don't know how recreational it was, I was just plain lost on the backroads of Alabama. I was on an errand to bring some boiled blue crabs to Joe's mother and they were in an ice chest in the back seat.
I was also going to pick up an autobiography of an 83 yr old neighbor that Joe had his brother-in-law copy for him. She's a facinating person. I don't know if I told you but Fairhope is a very special place. I started out as a socialistic experiment about 1890, and is the only "single tax colony" in the United States. Marge, our neighbor, had a rather eccentric father that dragged her to Russia in the early 30's to avoid the great depression. She was 15 at the time, and managed to get out at the age of 24. He brother unfortunately had taken Soviet citizenship to continue his education and was stuck there ... where he is today.
I had to make sure she got her manuscript back, and believe me I don't like driving, as I have said before. If that roadtrip didn't have the goal of making two little old ladies very happy I would never had made it. I came home and slept from 1:30 to 4:30, exhausted with a migraine from the pollen in the air. I would rather be at the beach or riding my bike.
psss I got your message and will return it asap, I have school tonite, am working on a business plan for my new job, and thought I had those photos in jpeg, oh well, you'll have some eye candy by Friday.
When I go home to visit my mom in Louisiana next time, I am going to pick up my photo albums.

And a good deed was done. Me, I love driveing, do about 60,000 mile's a year (pretty impressive if consider the size of the island I live on). We had sunshine today and no que's at the gas station, Heaven ! Your neighbor sounds like a facinating women, a real intresting life. I always feel its a privlage when you meet an elderly person who tells an intresting tale of life.

Excuse my ignorance, but what is a 'single tax colony' ?

I got to work hard for the next few days, I'm designing part of the website for a literary festival here in London and the site goes live on Friday.

I don't really know what a single tax colony is myself. I will be taking a course on it in the coming weeks in order to become a member myself. I know that it was a socialistic experiment at the turn of the century that somehow has survived until now. It has something to do with not taxing labor,(so if you sell your services in Fairhope, you don't have city taxes to add to the bill) and dividing all income of taxes based on the value of the land with the members of the colony.
They must vote you into the colony and you have to take the course before they allow you to apply. My mate, Joe, his family has lived here forever, so he was a shoe-in, when he gave me the property here, well maybe they might let me in. We'll see, I will still have the property if they don't, it just means I won't be a voting member. I don't understand really, I know there are only around 150-200 voting

I have changed the e-mail stuff on my page, let me know what you thing ? I put Pillowcases article on Giraffes forward to the Sub-Editors today - no favouritism the article deserved it, have you read it ?
