A visit from my #1 geisha! That's a lovely beginning for a Monday morning. How's life been treating you lately? I pop by your journals every so often, just to make sure you're ok. Did you ever manage to get things sorted with assistance so you can have an occasional day for your own pleasure?
I almost fell off my chair laughing when I ssaw that pic, too. It was bizarre being on the victim end of a photoshopping spree, rather than being the perpetrator. I think that one was a response to this. http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/alabaster/A4012660 I was very flattered-- he made me look sooooo svelte! Lately I'm more of an Earth-goddess figure, alas.
All is well with me. I've got my work situation just the way I like it-- a good balance of income, freedom to travel around and do the things I love, and stability. I've been painting the past couple of years, feel that I'm *finally* ready to show some of my stuff publicly. I discovered an Art Walk that happens monthly in a neighboring town, and will be asking The Goddess Shop if I can put a few of my paintings in their gallery one of these months. That just feels like an appropriate place for my debut. Love life is still a non-entity, but every time I start to think about actively pursuing one I realize that I don't realy prioritize the time and effort to meet someone who'd knock my socks off, and then I get involved in projects or work for a while, kinda forget about it til my lightbulbs need changing again.

Nothing wrong with being rounded, my dears! I am just bookmarking really, and reporting for duty as Harem Member #2.
Are there enough of us for a group hug?

Always enough for a group hug.
How are my lovelies doing? I'm looking forward to a 3-day weekend, will be relaxing/taking care of household stuff Saturday, having a party on Sunday and then 4th of July fireworks on Monday. Ahhhhhh.

4th July...isn't that the date that is due to hit that asteroid?
*swivels round and undulates back the way she came*
Night off...yes, I get one night off a fortnight, plus, my daughter is having my son so I can go to London on 16th July...I'll and Ben for you, MoGgie... and she can do me for you...

*sigh*
Any chance you might make one of these meets?

Oh, you are going to be at the meet, GB? That is really good to hear. I'll be up in the evening, but probably not for the afternoon. I am crap at the going-round-museums-bit at the best of times.

I wish I could be there at the meetup, but it doesn't look as if that'll happen this year. Perhaps y'all could do a bellydance at this one and try to manifest me with your goddess power.
If that doesn't work I'm setting my sights on making it over that way Spring '06 and we shall just have to create a meetup if there's not an official one handy.

It's been a beautiful day, relaxed and full of good energy, fireworks tonight! Wooohoooo! My muse arrived for cocktails after brunch and helped me to finish a painting I've been working on for a while. Photo is here http://public.fotki.com/BrittaMoG/my_paintings/enlightenmints.html though it doesn't quite pick up all the irrediscence I put into it. I'm happy with this one, and happy to have it done. I'd started it waaaay back when I was dating Blaise, had to put it away for a while. Now it's evolved into something totally different. And I'm ready to start something new and joyous. Someone pointed out to me last night that my paintings feel 'sad'. I hadn't ever thought of them in that context.
