its great how you are an example of theory and action together. i have yet to get the action part down pat, but i can think myself into a hole at the drop of an idea.

Hi there and welcome to h2!
I popped over to your space to see what you're about, found this:
>Is it better to spend your time figuring out existence, or is it better to spend your time existing? do you figure out life, or do you live? do you study the rock or do you rock and roll? what about this problem with expressing what you understand? it seems the more you know the less you can talk about it coherently.<
For starters, you can't *not* spend your time existing. Just, many people spend so much mental energy in someplace other than Now, because they're involving themselves in dwelling on the future or past, that they don't live in the moment. It doesn't have to be an either/or kinda choice, really. You can look at it as having three focuses, study, practice, and action. (I know, 3 focuses sounds like an oyxmoron, but they're intertwined and support each other rather than negating each other.)
Study is the part where you use your mind analytically, learn *about* things. Practice is the way to embed what you're learning, and who you mean to be, into the fabric of your life. I do this through chanting Nam Myoho Renge Kyo. Action is doing (and thinking) the things that reflect your greatest self, and doing the things that'll pull your chosen path to the place you find yourself walking. The three together are living consciously.
It's not really something we're taught how to do here in the US, but give it a shot and be persistent. Once it starts working (and it will) you'll have a moment, and after a few of those it's generally easier to continue the new way than to lapse into less effective ways of living, though we all have habits that are really *hard* to break.
Talking about things coherently comes from thinking coherently. I like to write stuff down, because then I can re-read it and see if I'm making sense or babbling. Looks as if you've given yourself a great start!
