Saw that you posted in my poetry thread so thought I would nip over and tell you about the rather cool Poetry Appreciation Society A647318 . If you post your verse on their page, they will tell you how good it is!
Great huh?
How are you btw?

Thanks for pointing that out for me. I'll put my poem there though it's intended as a prelude to the stuff I wrote after, rather than to stand on its own.
I'm doing well, though the past couple of days were a bit nerve-wracking, as my poor cat had her kittens and they were all born dead. I'm feeling a bit guilty, because in retrospect I should have bundled her off to a vet days ago and gotten her some help. I've never been around birthing critters before, so I didn't really realize how wrong things were going til it was way to late to try to do anything about it. On the bright side she's doing well now and doesn't seem damaged by the experience. Perhaps it's for the best, as the cat and I combined have the maternal instinct of the average pebble.
Other than that, life is taking some amazing turns for the better this year and I'm enjoying myself tremendously. I'll be starting a new job next week (YAY!!!!) and I think that will bring on one of those rare periods where I feel as if I have everything I need to be happy and productive.
How are you doing? Does it feel like spring there yet?

I am sorry to hear about your cat. That is sad. It is really difficult to know what to do with pets. One of my mice lost an eye because I did not take it to the vets in time and I still feel guilty about that!
Oooh new job? Tell all!
Things here are much the same really. We are all working hard. No sign of spring though... well yesterday was lovely but today is quite grey.

We're having a (rare) grey day, too. Hasn't rained yet, but it keeps threatening to, and when it does here there's nothing gentle about it. I'm about to defy the weather and bike to the library anyway. It's not very far, and even if I do get drenched, I'm not nearly sweet enough to melt.
The new job in a nutshell:
It fell in my lap at the perfect time. My boss is someone I'd worked with before, and she's a riot. I insisted on keeping it part time (4 days weekly) til October so I can work on my projects, and they agreed. I'll be back in cosmetics (skincare and makeup specialist), which I really love and would probably do freelance occasionally even if I won the lottery or start earning plenty doing my own things. Ummmm.... the company is family owned and still small, but growing rapidly, so there's a great opportunity for career growth there if I want to go that way. Right now I'm focused on doing my own stuff and seeing what comes of it, so til October it's the perfect way for me to earn a living stress free, so I can put my energy where I need it to be. I'm giving myself a really special birthday present this year... I've made arrangements to give myself the time and peace of mind to focus on doing the creative things I love (and get my body in great shape... otherwise turning 40 is gonna be a bit disturbing) without pressure.
