Just wanted to say I like the name! My usual name (Elentari - I'm in anagram mode at the moment) is from Qenya as well.
Cool name!

Yeah, I agree, although mine isn't a translation, just thought it sounded cool. I may have to look up what my name would be now - but I'm at uni and don't have my books.

i'll help: give me your name and I'll look it up for you.
I'm at work and things are a little slow right now, so I've got the time.
I'll try to come up with a translation as well, if you like

Well, since you use Elentari, I'll asume your female
'-wen' means 'maiden, girl', so I normally use it in female names.
Kinda like -o and -a in Italian. e.g. Lucio and Lucia (they both mean 'light', by the way)
'light' used as a noun:
cala
--> Calawen
'ray of light':
alca
--> Alcawen
'light' as an adjective:
calina
--> I wouldn't add -wen in this case. Sounds fine as it is.
Make your pick
