The naivety of youth...
Primeval Mudd (formerly Roymondo) Started conversation May 30, 2005
I'm currently listening to 'The Jack' by AC/DC and am reminded that as a youth I honestly thought it was about a card game (STDs were yet to be appreciated!), and I also thought Sabbath's 'Snowblind' was about, erm, snowblindness.
I have since come to realise the true meanings behind these songs and wonder if anyone else has been blessed by a 'Doh!' moment whilst listening to an old favourite...

STYX did a Snowblind song too. Not the same, I expect. I did have trouble with their faulty American phrasing of English though, which led to them saying the opposite of what they meant (and not through deliberate sarcasm). No "doh" moments that I can recall. More tut-tuts at bad constructions or ethics and the need for for subtitles when I couldn't make out the words in songs at all.

I must confess to never having heard any STYX, but I know I probably should have (maybe I have and haven't noticed. Who knows?) But I would lay money on the members having dabbled in the stuff that's the influence of Sabbath's Snowblind!

And don't get me started on faulty American phrasings!(click on my name above).
