so it's hot

We're having a heat wave - this should be no surprise if you see Tulsa on a weather map. Last night coming home from work @ 8PM, the temp was still in the triple digits. What's up with that? Guess I'll just let the grass burn up - at least that way I won't have to mow it. We're experiencing "voluntary water restrictions" in Tulsa - use water on the yard before noon based on odd/even street addresses. Of course the neighbor started right off the bat on the wrong day - too bad there's not a reward for turning them in, then I could pay the utility bill!
Guess I'll just stay inside & hope for cooler weather - about September, or maybe October!

busy weekend

Finished up our (the Tulsa Oratorio Chorus) 20th season with Bach's "B Minor Mass" on Saturday. Great concert & everyone seemed real happy with the results - fortunately, my wife is a Bach fan, so since the whole season was nothing but Bach, she was really happy. Then Sunday, did a load out of the "Fiddler on the Roof".
So I covered on stage & back stage in the same weekend. I guess I need to work out a weekend sometime with a stage hand call, a concert, & go to a concert or something - then I'd have the hat trick (house, on stage, & back stage).
Not sure what good that would do me, but it sounds like something worth planning.

what happened

So here we are, the end of March, & it's like 80 degrees (F). I've already had to mow the lawn once & it's going to need it again, real soon. I still think I need to just pave it & paint it green, then I won't have to deal w/ weeds or lawn care or any of that stupidity. Gonna have to think about how I convince my wife that this is a GREAT idea (but I suspect she won't be buying into that, just yet!).
Hmmm, let me think -

In keeping with everything H2G2, it just dawned on me, as I was previewing my first try on my Personal Space, that I shouldn't have been surprised yesterday when I was initially trying to create my account: a log-in difficulty ("There has been a problem with the page") & I couldn't confirm my account or get back into H2G2. This problem was finally solved this morning (thanks "gurus"!).
And now I realize that the reason I was having trouble was because it WAS TUESDAY - I guess I should have taken that as a sign & just given up (since we all know what Arthur thinks of it), but no, I kept on & here I am.
