Amy Pawloski, aka 'paper lady'--'Mufflewhump'?!? click here to find out... (ACE)

Just thought I'd stop by... Have a mufflewhump!

Lil's surmise would likely be better, given that she's known a lot more folks on here over the years than I have (more years, and whatnot) but may I make a guess, if I can think of a way to express that guess without naming your previous name or any too-obvious clues? In the past, I've, um, managed to lose a friend by making a guess as to his previous h2g2 identity, not realizing that he didn't want it known that he had one, much less who he was. Of course, after that incident, I realized that I'd likely lost it before, as I noticed he'd never contacted me under his new one (which left after the semi-cryptic outing). So I'm not making my guess on here unless you say it's OK.

smiley - doh If you're who I think you are, I can ask you elsewhere if you're you...

Hi Amy, and yes I remember you. I don't mind if you expose me. But asking elsewhere would be fun. Tell me when you have done it so I can check that I/you have the right elsewhere! I risk a double exposure but what the heck! Thank heavens for creative people smiley - biggrin

If you're who I think you are, I sent you a message on Facebook (and if not, I've just confused someonesmiley - laugh)

Did you recently receive hand-knit socks, which you posted about on FB?

Hm. So you weren't Munchkin or King Chthulu. The only other person I could think of, that has the same "feel" would be someone who I don't think ever ventured to the Ateleir.

Oo, were you a smiley - doctor on here? (And just how well did you know me--more of a "Oh, I remember seeing her around" or more?)

Good morning Amy (Well it is here still). No I'm afraid I was none of those. I wouldn't say I knew you well, but I do remember you well. (Must be the Mufflewhumps!) We did converse, more than once. I don't remember what about, except I think the hanging of things on the tree must have figured! Sorry to be a tease but if I say too much I'll be rumbled! smiley - winkeye

Hm. Then not Doctor Gonzo nor Ekki.

So, we were in the salon at the same time, then. I've been guessing folks that were gone before I ventured in the first time and realized I knew most of the people theresmiley - laugh

The port and claret has got to my brain so I'm not sure how long ago it was. Two, three, even four years? I'd really like to help more, but even if I told you, you might just say WHO? Don't remember. I wasn't here for long! You are a good sport though - good to meet you again smiley - smiley

I was digging *way* too far back, thensmiley - laugh

I think I'll just sit back and enjoy you as you are, since if you wanted your old identity, you could've gotten it back easily enough (you did know that, right?)

That sounds like a good plan Amy smiley - cool
Yes, I did know I could probably rejuvenate the old me, but I was never entirely comfortable in that skin so a new one seemed a good idea. I suspect my new one might wind a few people up though. I'll be exhibiting a few old fashioned ways when I get into me stride!
Hopefully, most people will see it for what it is and not take me too seriously! smiley - winkeye
Have a good day Amy, smiley - choc

And did those feet in ancient time.
Walk upon England's mountains green:
And was the holy Lamb of God,
On England's pleasant pastures seen!

And did the Countenance Divine,
Shine forth upon our clouded hills?
And was Jerusalem builded here,
Among these dark Satanic Mills?

Bring me my Bow of burning gold;
Bring me my Arrows of desire:
Bring me my Spear: O clouds unfold!
Bring me my Chariot of fire!

I will not cease from Mental Fight,
Nor shall my Sword sleep in my hand:
Till we have built Jerusalem,
In England's green & pleasant Land
