Hehehe, only online cos it's so damn quiet here just now. (w*ork, as if you hadn't guessed)
I'm much the same as usual. You? Relaxing and enjoying the time off?

Depends on how much you have to catch up on, and if it's a terms worth, then I suppose the answer would be 'No'
Plans for the hols?

Half a terms worth, at least! Too much to be considered recreational thats for sure.
We've had a week already, which involved a lot of sleep. Then getting jobs done like new tyres on the car as it needs its first MOT soon. We took the tyres for a run in the New Forest in the sun. But I'm staying off the road over the weekend.
You? Or have you drawn the short straw and get to spend it all at w**k?

Hi WM, thanks!
Yes, I drew the short straw once again. Don't think I've managed to get one day yet this year, oh, no that's not true, i had new years day! Still what can I do, other than jack the job in. New CV has been collated with a couple of ammendments to sort and then it's off to the agencies for me.
Actually, i should get it finished and off before next weekend, cos I'm going to Oz for a few weeks!

I'll do my best, and if not, I'll send one while I am there!
My sister is due to give birth in the next few weeks, so might manage to see the new edition before I come home! Should be good.

Thank you for mail, btw. I promise to respond in kind prior to departure, but will probably be later in the week (or maybe tomorrow if it's quiet here, which i suspect it will be. Even more so than today!)
Read anything interesting today on your travels round h2? I came across one of the 'most neglected' articles and it's about the wine regions around Adelaide,so I thought i'd go see the user who wrote it only to find I had ACE'd them last year (but then you might have read that somewhere else today ) off the back of that article I went to the user space of someone who had commented on it to find an interesting article by Ashley about 'Best Man Speeches' so naturally I had to throw my tuppence in there too.
I wonder where I'll go next

I sent you mail yesterday and I've been playing the Easter game. Witty too. *waves*
That wont get the washing done!
My friend leaves for Syndey tomorrow. She had been getting all soppy about leaving the spring sunshine etc behind, but today its raining so perhaps she won't mind after all.
I sent her a postcard to pin up on the wall of her apartment. 2 pictures:
1) Rain pouring down on a with the caption "Winter in England"
2) Rain pouring down on a with the caption "Summer in England"
just in case she forgets!
I've told her to get in front of a web cam and wave when she gets there too. I like this one.

Ah, nice camera.
LOL I remember buying a postcard in Oban once because I loved the idea of it. It was a series of pictures and you ticked the boxes most appropriate to your holiday (saved on actually writing a postcard ) So funny. That and my Haggis postcard. I'll see if I still have them, scan them in and send them to you
I think your friend will settle down very quickly, but then she knows what to expect so that's good. I hope her son does enjoy it and see the benefits of life out there, but more about that in mail.
I've just been randomly clicking on interesting sounding conversations in the 'info' page again, and I see I even managed to get myself up as the second longest post in 24 hours, something not seen by me in a very long time! the addiciton just never goes away, no matter how long you leave it!

That's why there's this smiley:
or maybe
I'm off now anyway. Still getting over the usual end of term which leaves me very tired and
I hope work passes quickly!

LOL, true, true.
Ok, well I'll mail you soon, I promise, take it easy and rest up, seems a bat bout of this 'flu/heavy cold is doing the rounds across the country, so hope everyone who has it gets better soon. I'm still recovering from it myself and that's been 2 weeks now.
hey ho, speak to you soon
Jx

Thanks for mail!
It's not the flu that lots of people have, just a normal end of term tiredness which this time has doubled or trebled into exhaustion. Accompanied by this black dog that seems to be following me everywhere.
I won't really miss my friend now she's in Oz (but thanks for the anyway!) because we met online and have always communicated by e mail and IM. That will go on, just at different times.
Do you like my anagrammed name? I did it to amuse the Easter but I might keep it actually! It seems to sum up how I feel at the moment.
2 years ago I gave up a job I liked, in a place where I knew lots of people, but a relationship that was causing me to believe less of myself. I thought I could do better. 1 year ago I didn't much like the new job, but it was OK because I could concentrate on getting my house straight, settling into a new part of the country and I was in an uncomplicated relationship with someone who made me feel happy and good about myself.
Now I'm miserable in the job, I can't afford to live in the house, I still haven't settled into the area, my health is shot to pieces and I have nobody to make me feel like it doesn't matter.
If you're going to stuff up your life, you might as well do it big time! How many mid life crises am I allowed?
Going back to where I came from is one option. I can't have the job back because there's a Glaswegian biker in it. But it would feel good to be with people who know me and who will be supportive. Either that, or start all over again.
So, "chance a lot" seems quite appropriate!
Take care of yourself. You don't want to be taking germs out to that new baby! Get some Metatone (other tonics are available).
