You came to Cloughie's BBQ, I think it was... and gave all the girls kisses...
And I didn't like that... I'm sorry... I'm just not accustomed to suddenly spit-swapping like that...
...Cheesecake!??
I sorry...
Babel17 Posted Jul 3, 2001
Hello.
I am sorry if I offended you. It was only mant to be a peck on the cheek, no saliva swapped at all! I wouldn't do that to somebody i don't know well. I hope you can forgive me. As Gwennie says, we are all like that from other threads the interaction between Pan, Gwennie, myself and a few others is always like that.
By the way did you mention cheesecake? What sort? And can I offer you a drink of something? And thank you for coming to see me.
Leaving the thread was only going to be temporary and I will be back, if it's alright with you.
Here is a hug if you want it. I just enjoy being friendly that's all.
J.
I sorry...
Dragonfly. "A poet can survive everything but a misprint"-- Oscar Wilde Posted Jul 3, 2001
Gwennie explained your enjoyment of friendliness!!!
I felt bad for snapping at you. So I really came here to ask YOU for forgiveness(you really don't have to ask ME for forgiveness, because I do forgive you!!! YAY!!!).
Yes, I DID mention cheesecake. What flavor would you like!?? It IS the food of the muses, you know!!!
I would like a chocolate milk to drink, if that is possible...
I sorry...
Babel17 Posted Jul 4, 2001
Good I am glad we have that sorted out
Friends then? I hope so. I never like getting on the wrong side of people, and if I do, I hope they can explain what I did wrong, and we can learn from the experience.
Anyway, as to cheesecake, how about fruits of the forest? Or Summer fruits? And there is plenty of chocolate milk, because I know quite a few people who like it, so i always keep a supply.
So tell me about yourself, if you don't mind me asking.
I sorry...
Dragonfly. "A poet can survive everything but a misprint"-- Oscar Wilde Posted Jul 4, 2001
Fruits of the Forest it is!!!
About myself, eh!?? I LOOOVE THE BEATLES!!! And I am silly. That's really all you have to know...
But I endeavor to be a writer and I play the guitar and piano, and if I ever find a band and a director I like who understands that I rarely if EVER practice, then... I'll also play the oboe.
And I'm the Musemother. But you probably already know that.
Thank you for the chocolate milk.
I sorry...

Please come to Urania's(http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A426881) for a Fireworks Display that can also be seen from the Iris Cafe(http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A517934), or the Muses' Campfire(http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A572735), if your prefer....
I sorry...
Babel17 Posted Jul 5, 2001
My apologies, I didn't have time to drop by for the fireworks, but I had a quick read and it sounds nice there. May I come along another time?
Glad you liked the chocolate milk, as I said, I always have some in *eats cheesecake* Mmmm this is wonderful. Thank you.
So a Beatles fan and quite silly? LOL, well I can relate to that.
And a musician aswell? I used to play the cornet at school, but rarely practiced, though I wasn't bad.
I also play the drums, but am not in a band now Wish I had the time. But I play occassionally in the house.
I love music and wish I had been able to make a career out of it, but it wasn't to be. So where abouts in the world do you hail from? The States perhaps? I think I read you had an american flag at the fireworks. I am Scottish and live just the other side of the River Forth, with great views across to Edinburgh. So there is a bit about me, oh and as you've guessed, I am very silly too.
I sorry...
Dragonfly. "A poet can survive everything but a misprint"-- Oscar Wilde Posted Jul 5, 2001
YAY!!! VERY SILLY IS VERY FUN!!!
TRA LALA DE DA!!!
::bows::
::grabs her chocolate milk and gets settled::
It's ok you didn't get to check out the fireworks. You are welcome to visit around the Musehome whenever you like, however!!! YAY!!!
As for your cornet playing and lack of practice, I'm reminded of my uncle. He only practiced half an hour a week-- at his lesson. Which reminds me of my guitar student... it's very discouraging!!!
Drums are different, though. I have a tamborine.
I've tried to make a career of playing my Green Tamborine, but it's very difficult to make it in the music business. I do write music, so maybe some day I will sell the copyrights so pretty people can lip-sync to the talented people(not me) who recorded it for sale.
I do hail from the States-- Colorado(with the Rocky Mountains!!! YAY!!!). YAY!!! I do love it here-- geographically. Politically!?? Nowhere is perfect.
I studied Scotland when I was MUCH younger!!! One of my favorite places!!! YAY!!!
I sorry...

Sorry, i haven't been replying over the last few days. Was in London for the meet, if you hadn't guessed, then I have been on nightshift since Sunday night (yes I came back and went straight to work)
So this is the first chance I have had to get back to a few old forums now the hoo-haa has died down abit.
So tell me, is ther much call for Green tambourine concherto's these days? Joking. Just being silly again. I had a very silly weekend, and it hasn't quite worn off yet.
Glad to hear you like Scotland. You need to come up here when you do the big trip befor 2004 Yep I lurk about too, but then Pegasus doesn't mind, for some reason
Did you see the photos?
Haven't played my drums in ages, but when I was on holiday a few weeks ago I saw a great band live and thought Ooh, perhaps i should start practicing again. What do you think?
I sorry...
Dragonfly. "A poet can survive everything but a misprint"-- Oscar Wilde Posted Jul 12, 2001
You should always practice. It's good for you-- keeps you young.
My great-aunt said that work keeps you young, but I don't believe her-- it has always made me feel a bit older, and by the sound of YOUR recent work experience, it seems you might agree just a bit.
I'll see about Scotland... I do dearly want the whole UK experience, and I SWEAR I will come to AT LEAST England(especially since there's someone... hee hee hee... awfully, disgustingly special there!!!!)... who knows!?? We'll see... if I moved over there, it'd be easier to visit Scotland, wouldn't it!??
I did a report on Scotland YEARS ago...
ANYWAY!!! Yeah... I have to leave for work in about twenty minutes.... bleh... it's fine that you took your time replying-- I don't mind, really, as a lurker you know I keep busy regardless!!! I'm just happy you've regained your ability to type...
I sorry...
Babel17 Posted Jul 14, 2001
Hmm, perhaps I should practice more often then. been feeling decidely old recently
Well in my opinion, work is the reason I am feeling old, so yes, I agree with you completely
Heeheehee. I hardly keep up with The Crossed Purposes these days, but I know what(or who) you mean I just keep telling everyone. "Come to Scotland. it might be a bit wet, sometimes, but the scenery alone is worth it"
And for the record, I never lost the ability to type, just the inclination. In fact, a certain other researcher has been taking up a lot of my time over the last week, for some reason. So I am only now getting back into the swing of all my other threads.
Hope your weekend was/is good.
I sorry...
Dragonfly. "A poet can survive everything but a misprint"-- Oscar Wilde Posted Jul 14, 2001
!!! Researchers can just be sooo distracting!!!
...cheesecake!??
I hope you get all rested up and feel nice and normal... and then your workplace blows up so you never have to go back there again!!!
I sorry...
Babel17 Posted Jul 14, 2001
You bet!.
Can I take a raincheck on the cheesekcake until tomorrow.
Unfortunately even should my work blow up, we have dual site, so I would need to go anyway
I sorry...
Dragonfly. "A poet can survive everything but a misprint"-- Oscar Wilde Posted Jul 14, 2001
OH... maybe there should just be a rat infestation...
Then you can come back...
You can always take a raincheck on the cheesecake!!!
I sorry...
Babel17 Posted Jul 18, 2001
Raincheck on cheesecake? No I shall have my cake and eat it, ta.
rats. Infestation. What I really need to happen is for one place to blow up and the other to have the mainframe fail, due to not being able to cope with the switch over. Then we would be talking proper disaster situation
I sorry...

Edinburgh, Scotland. Make it for tomorrow afternoon, so that I can get the next 4 Nights off work and can end up going to the Scottish Meet after all If it's not too much bother
(I'd hug you but it might go against me whiles I stand trial currently in Abi's courtroom)

Dragonfly. "A poet can survive everything but a misprint"-- Oscar Wilde Posted Jul 18, 2001
Righto!!! I've calculated the cost of my services-- $22,000 American.
Or a lifetime supply of cheesecake.
I sorry...
Babel17 Posted Jul 18, 2001
Hmmm. Do you perchance take Diners Club
Perhaps the cheesecake is a better option, I could order it online and have it delivered to your house
I sorry...
