Hi B-17. My forays into the guide were nipped in the bud on saturday night when I sucummed to an attack of renal cholic. I wound up in hospital (just got out today) and ate some truly disgusting food. Still, the pethadin was lovely. The garden furniture is up (finished at 4:30 am on thursday) and I only got sit in it this evening. Lovely sunset though.
Just submitted a piece, would you take a look?
Best wishes, and hope all is well,
Frogbit.

Ouch indeed! Sorry to hear that, but hope all is well now.
so the chair didn't collapse when you sat in it then? I'm impressed
I had a quick look at your article and thought it was quite good, one point though is I wouldn't put the picture in.
The reason for this is that if the entry makes it through to the final Edit and gets accepted, then the h2g2 Art Team will draw up a relevant picture for the article. Best not to have any pics in. the only time this isn't true is if you can justify having a particular picture, that enhances the overall article.
Any articles you see with pictures are edited articles accepted into the guide already. Not knowing much about the Mendips myself, i liked the way you raced through millenia in just a few lines. Short, to the point, but quirky and amusing. Submit it to Peer Review and see what happens. At worst, you'll geet some pointers on how to improve it
I'll keep my eye out for it and post a relevant comment to it at the time.
All is reasonable well with me, just fed up with work (which is normal for me, to be honest)
B-17

Weird. I just read you message and the bit about the chair collapsing. About fifteen minutes ago I was sitting here in the director's chair and it collapsed. When I read your mail it was definately on of the 'How the F----.' moments. Thanks for the tip about images, I'll lose it. I already stuck it in Peer Revue. No bites yet.
Sorry to hear about work. The good side of Backfiring Kidney Disease is two weeks of work. I think I'll be putting the garden furniture to the test if this weather keeps up.
Cheers,
Frogbit.

Actually, I just checked at Peer Review and it's disappeared. Is that intentional? Do they just fade if no-one talks about them? Or do I need to re-submit? Will these questions never end?
Frogbit?

It hasn't really dissapeared, it has just dropped onto the next page of 25 articles, because nobody has replied to it. This I shall remedy, and I see the pic has gone. Good one.
Back in a bit. (so you off for 2 weeks now? in this weather, lucky! But rather a painful way to get a bit of sun, eh? Really, i hope you are ok. i wouldn't wish ill of anyone)
Cheers.

Your fiendish plan worked brilliantly. Mwa ha ha ha (rubs hand together).
No, I'm sure I'm alright now. Two weeks in which to find another way of earning a living, I think.
Frogbit.
Cheers.

I'm guessing you're on earlies this week. You seem like the person to ask, can HTML be used on my space, or do you have to stick to Guide ML?
