I have managed to beat your best minesweeper score. Mine is under 1 second. I do admit though I was cheating.

yes i discovered 2 ways to cheat(not that *I* would ever use them oh no no no(actually I didn't for that one)) #1: click on the smiley face and DON'T LET GO just hold the mouse button down it will be paused until you move the pointer off the smiley face and release the mouse button #2: when you move the game it is paused and you can still look at it. this may not work if your computer is set so that when you move something it follows the curser instead of just having the outline follow the cursur but im not sure.

I have the following score (legit I did not know that it was possible to cheat actually).

Beginner: 3
Int: 25
Expert: 94

Where does that put me in your league?

WOW! really good and also about as lucky as Duck 8-o

As far as the 3 seconds go, yes I was *very* lucky on that one. For the others, it comes from a job I had where I would design a report for a database and then run it to test. The reports took nearly three hours to compleate. I played a lot of minesweeper then. I kinda got good at it.

so glad you asked! he is a charactor in one of Spider Robinson's books, The Callahan Touch. he has lots of magical ancestery and as a consequece his luck is not just crazy, it is insane. like when he tosses a coin, its certain to come down on edge, or not come down at all. his luck affects everyone around him sometimes and is both amazingly bad and amazingly good, it all balances out. if he played minesweep he would probably get one with all the mines crowded into the corner, an instant win, several times in a row. i meant that to get a score of 3 would require almost that kind of luck, or a very fast clicking finger. i have all sorts of knowledge on this order.

Sounds like what happened. I have achieved that score twice. With wittnesses once. But then again. I flipped a nickle once called adge and got it. Again with wittnesses.

my friend has a coin that will mysteriously keep landing on heads, then switch to tails and keep landing on tails for a while(or so she says, i haven't seen it)
