A lone figure raised a hand which was quickly stripped of flesh. In a last desperate breath, he inhaled the sulphorous air to whisper one final pragmatic word. Since he was indeed alone, that word was never recorded and certainly wasn't heard by the well dressed young man who was petting a white cat at almost precisely that very moment. Random was so completely oblivious to the alien's plight that his thoughts were actually, ironically, drawn to life (although truth be told, they were disorganized enough to be more "paint splattered" than "drawn").</b><font color = black>
