Fatherhood

About six weeks ago, my wife gave birth to our first child.

I've been going around saying that I'm a proud father, but then it occurred to my that I really didn't do all that much. My wife is the one who did all the work. I mean, I could pretty much have gone on holiday after the conception bit, & everything would have still happened on schedule. She is the one who had to do the whole birth thing. But, I'll be happy to take half the credit for our son, anyway.

Also. When the baby is first born, I've noticed that many friends and family tell him that If we ever got tired of him, that he could come and live with them, or that they would love to take him home. These people are lying. They return him as soon as his diaper needs changing.
