How'd it go?

Sorry I couldn't get down to see your gig. I was intending to come until this evening when I had big problems with my pooter. Did it go well? Did you get a good crowd? Next time you've got a gig I shan't check my emails first!
I installed a burner in my PC at the weekend - it came with something called Easy CD Creator. Easy PC Eater more like - it made Windows constantly fall over. I thought I'd fixed it by downloading updated drivers, but tonight it just kept freezing and falling over. I uninstalled it but it left footprints all over the registry - I've been battling with it all night. I hope it's okay now -it's been doing my head in.

You chose fixing a stroppy PC over coming to see us???
I installed easy CD that came with my memorex CDRW that I bought the other week and I was amazed at how (touch wood) trouble free the whole thing was. I installed the drive, the software and burnt the first CD within 15 minutes!
Shows how touchy different computers are. Mine's usually very awkward.
The gig went really well. I wish you could have seen it. The crowd were fantastic. The sound was pretty good. And we were alright too.
Seriously, we played well. A tight, confident set even if I do say it myself! Got an encore too.

Glad it went well. I'll definitely have to make the next one - before you get famous and I can't afford the tickets!
A mate of mine (remember Captain Mike?) bougth an external CDRW for his laptop the other week - it came with Easy CD and he had a load of trouble - he's uninstalled it now. He actually warned me but it didn't say on the box for the CDRW what software it was.
It really made a gooley of my PC - I ended up booting to the DOS prompt from a floppy and doing a registry fix to get it running in some sort of order. Now I'm waiting to see if it's going to keep falling over.

A registry fix?
You got any other software that'll do the job? I use WinOnCd at work and it works well.

Don't be too impressed - I just ran scanregw /fix from the prompt. And it was a bit scary, I have to confess.
I've not got anything else at the moment, but somebody I know has Nero and reckons it's pretty good. I've downloaded a limited time demo of it - haven't had a proper go yet, too busy getting the pc to run.

Let me know if you want some software. I've got a disc full of CDR type stuff inc. fulll verison of Nero and winOnCd.

Hiya 3sec!
I don't think I'll be able to make it down this week - things are a bit hectic at my place with all these threats of industrial action - it always means shedloads of extra work for me, which generally doesn't get used.
Also I'm away for a long weekend first thing Friday, so a shindig the night before isn't ideal.
I'm definitely going to have to make it to one of your gigs soon, if only so I can say "I heard them before they were famous!" Meantime I'll mosey on by your website and sample what you've got there.

I'm still up for it! I've already announced I'm not training that night 'cos I'm going to see my mate's band.

Yup, provided you haven't changed it. Don't think the Admiral will be along - I'm going to see if anybody is interested at work, as we're just over the road. Don't rely on me bringing anybody though - we don't normallly go out from work midweek. Otherwise it'll just be me. I'll call you tomorrow to confirm - let me know if there's any time I should avoid. I'll be back online late this evening to check my messages. What time's the kick-off?

Ooh - I was wrong - the Admiral IS coming, along with her sister and brother-in-law. So that's at least 4. I'll give you a bell tomorrow.

Thank you so much for last night. I'm glad you enjoyed it. sorry I didn't get a chance to speak to you after the gig but can you thank the admiral and your friends for me please?
Last night was quite a good one. Not as good a performance as Bar XS on the 22nd, but the audience were great.
