Hello from under the sea...
I just joined h2g2 & I don't know anybody.
I installed the online list and now I am looking for people to talk to.
I hope you didn't mind a little mermaid clicking on your name?

Hi there!
Apologies for not replying sooner, my machine was playing up!
Anyway, judging from your personal space, you're well on top of GuideML and so forth; I'm sure that an ACE (assistant community editor) or a Guardian Angel will swing by and give you a welcome and some handy links to follow.
I'm a scout, which means that if you've written a really good entry that you think is good enough to go into the Edited Guide, you can post it to the Peer Review page and let the community tell you what they think, and sooner or later, a scout will say when it's ready to go into the Guide. Posting a potential entry to the PRP is pretty straightforward; follow this link:
http://www.h2g2.com/PeerReview
Then click on the 'discuss this entry' button at the bottom of the page, and put in the subject bar the A****** number assigned to your entry along with the title of your entry, so that it looks something like this:
'A123456 - Why Fish are So Great'
And in the message box, write the URL for your entry like this:
http://www.h2g2.com/A123456 (this is, of course, an example)
Then all the researchers on h2g2 will know that this is an entry you feel should be part of the Guide, and will offer constructive criticism or general praise as necessary. When it is ready to be put into the guide (and this can take a little while, but don't lose faith - us scouts are notorious slowcoaches ), a scout will let you know that it has been recommended and is being checked out by one of the Sub-Editors!
Well, have fun around h2g2 - it's a great place, and don't be shy of chatting to the people, as we're a friendly bunch, by and large.
See you around,
N7...

Thank you, N7!
I have already started my first guide entry, but I want to add more information to it. I am still looking for other merpeople, do you know any? I've been to a beach and a fish pond, joined Amy the Ant's Natural History Museum and claimed a Keeper title!
You are right, there are some nice people here.
A Queen of Elves showed me how to make smilies!
Look!
I made a row of fishies!
I must find out how to put them on my page!
Then I'll have some company until the other merfolk on h2g2 find me.
Will you visit my page again?
Air-breathers are always welcome, I'll sit on my rock!

Bye for now!

Hello again!
I see that you're in the Bikini Competition . Feeling confident?
Anyway, I'm afraid I don't know any other merpersons on h2g2, but then again, I don't tend to hang around the beach areas.
What's your first Guide Entry on?
