What with recent ACE busy-ness, and one thing and another, I am somewhat behind on the Rex Futurus thingy..
I have notes, offline as yet, and a couple of books are still on order.
Any chance of a deadline extension?? Extended deadline??
I feel I am about one week behind, but that may be just due to an excess of pessimism

Hey, no problem. If you look at the 'current projects' Uni page, some people have been doing projects for over 12 months now! *points finger at Abi's 'ponies' project *
I've gotten a little bogged down recently too. Aw hell, who am I kidding - I got a bit lazy recently.

Hi there, Taliesin!
I've just finished writing the bulk of my entries for the Arthur project (and the last one was bloody murder to get done, let me tell you! ).
So, whenever you're ready...
If you need a hand or anything, please let me know. Let's make this a cracking good project!

I finished one of Mary Stewart's Arthurian stories a couple of weeks ago, and then read a trilogy by Richard Monaco. These stories dealt more with characters peripheral to the main story, Merlin and Parsival respectively, but there was something of a thematic relevance
Two more books to read, one by Cornwell and the other by an author whose name escapes me at the moment --
As soon as I have the outline finished, I'll post it to my entry on the project -- http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A539886, and contact you via this thread...
Abide...
at last

Hi Nexus,
The rough, and I do mean rough, note is here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A539886
I will be working on it over the next few days, and any suggestions will be most appreciated
great stuff!
NexusSeven Posted Jul 3, 2001
Well done! A great and promising start; I can't wait to read the rest of it.
There's the odd typo here and there (the 'Contemporary Authors' section has two that I remember - it's "public", not "pubic" , and "stories" not "storys".
Plus, although I think they're great, the footnotes might be trimmed by a sub as they are rather long. Having said that, I can't really see how they might be integrated into the main body of text or trimmed down to size. So if you're loathe to butcher these bits, leave them for now and our capable sub will do with them as he sees fit.
Other than that, great work. Keep up the good work!
great stuff!

Well... I did say it was rough! But 'pubic' is unforgiveable. I'm going to fire my spell checker!!
Yeah, the footnotes are a bit long.. I can probably trim them down, though -- I am a merciless editor of my own stuff, as you will see in the not-too-distant, (hopefully) future
Glad you like it so far...
great stuff!

Almost there... http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A539886
Just a couple more footnotes (sorry, no other way!), and a brief closing discussion on the relevance of the Arthurian legend to modern society...
Let me know if there are any glaring errors...
great stuff!
taliesin Posted Aug 5, 2001
Well, I could go on and on, of course, but I feel this is an adequate beginning...
It is still at: http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A539886
And now I'm going to have a nice, cold
