I am about to submit a project to the University.
I aim to complete a history of the Football World Cup, and as you are a footy fan, albeit Swindon Town , I was wondering if you would like to be my sub-editor?
Cheers

Great stuff! Very nicely done... I guess that there'll be more actual copy in the later world cups, once you begin to approach the present day. You might have to explain a couple of little things, like what 'aet' means, for those who are not particularly au fait with the terminology of the Beautiful Game.
One slight style point - don't use the tag, as it will be taken out. If you feel you need to create a new paragraph, use the ... tags.
And the fewer footnotes, the better. Not that you've used too many at all - far from it; however, I think the common Guide policy is to try to put sub-clauses in parenthetical commas, like this, rather than use footnotes or brackets (like this) because it reads a little better.
Keep up the good work - it looks fantastic so far - pithy and to the point; I can't wait til we get to Fontaine et al.
