He was only 3 years older than myself.
Am pretty numb, actually.
Still hansn't sunk in....

My parents always get really worried about people 'catching the earlier train', as they've both only relatively recently passed 50. I don't know how I'd cope if anything happened to either of them. I'm not sure I could.
Still, those of us left on the platform muddle on, until we see the departed again...

I feel the same about my parents.
They are both in their 80's!
They are visibly shrinking before my eyes, just like my gran did.
I'm now taller than both of them.
I don't want to grow old, but it's better than the alternative.
We just have to make the best of the time we have left.
