I added a footnote about communicating with apes, and a link to the Koko entry, but I don't know whether this topic needs to be expanded slightly, to clearly distinguish between communication and making the sounds of speech.

I think it's clear enough. I've tended towards using 'vocalise' rather than 'speak' in the entry because speaking has connotations of communication through language, which a seal can't really manage. 'Pup pet' made me
