Hi!

I'm curious and so I've got to ask somebody, and you now may call me whatever you want:

What is Mustardland?smiley - huh

I see so many people on hootoo now, who write on their PS, that they are from Mustardland. I tried the links you've got on some PS, but didn't find out anything.
Please tell me!smiley - smiley

BTW: Can I offer you smiley - tea? Or smiley - cake? Or smiley - teasmiley - cake?

Hello, Tavaron

Mustardland is the name posters give to The Archers messageboards. We have six in all. They get the name from the background colour!

As the boards will be moving to this format in a few months some of us have come over here to suss it out and see what's what. We want to familiarise ourselves with it and also see where it might be improved.

We all put "Mustardland" into our PS so we could find each other when searching. And we now have "The Bull Outhouse" for meeting up, "The Bull" being the name of our all-topic board over in TA!

Thanks for the refreshments!

Hello again, Tavaron.

I've just read your PS and have found out you are German. You may not know that "The Archers" is the name of a long running serial on Radio 4. It's set in a farming community based round the village of Ambridge which is somewhere in the Midlands (I think, I'm Irish myself so not exactly sure!)

I think there's a h2g2 page about The Archers somewhere if you look!!

H2G2 Mustardland Mustering Station

Hi Tavaron, pleased to meet you! I'm an ex-pat Brit living in Belgium - there's quite a list of non-UK posters in Mustardland, including several in Germany. Syd Rumpo is the man to ask about that - click my name above to get to the main List of ML friends, and scroll down to find him on there.

You'll find loads of cat-lovers there too...

Hi Katy!smiley - biggrin

I still don't exactely know what you (not you personally, but you people from Mustardland) are. Isn't there any possibility to tell uotsiders a bit about Mustardland on your main space?
Look for instance at the Thingites Page, whether you agree with them or not, you know what they do.
But for me it seems like you don't have any main topic, or am I wrong? See, thats the problem...

I really don't want to annoy anybody but:
I visited some pople registered in your friends list, sorry but they are not very informative. For other hootoos it's no help to know that they are member of Mustardland. But maybe that's only my problem, because I spend much time reading what people write on their PS and posting to the ones who did a good job (often without getting any replysmiley - sadface).
It whould be really nice if you whould write at least what you are interested in or such things that whould help. I know, there are other people who don't do that too, but you seem to be a nice bunch of pople who really want to be here, so please give your PS a chance. You can really make nice things out of them.smiley - smiley

H2G2 Mustardland Mustering Station

Hi Tavaron!

The problem is that our main Page isn't here; our community is part of the BBC Message Board community, you can find us at

http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/archers/

If you look at the menu on the left, you'll see a link that'll bring you to the Message Board homepage, listing the 6 MBs we use and their individual purposes. There are 3 directly related to the radio soap The Archers; the others are community spaces which we use to meet up on. Do pop over and have a look!

The Mustardlanders here are trying H2G2 out, because all the BBC boards are switching over to the DNA software as used on here, and one we're unfamiliar with.

Hope this helps,

Hi Katy!

So, that was a REAL help, thank you.smiley - smiley

Now I raelize the differences from hootoo, seems like on your page you can really find anything, without getting lost in a huge labyrinth (I've still got problems with that here). On the other hand I like this labyrinth, you never know where you will get and always find some new and interesting stuff smiley - aliensmile or at least smiley - monster.

I'm rather new here too, but if I can do anything for you: ask me and I'll try to help.smiley - cheerup
