For those who are looking for my MSN Space and have not found it, the following url may be used:

I will eventually write more on H2G2 but for the time being, my online presence is centered nearer there than here.
Take care,

MSN Contacts
Posted May 14, 2005
I know this seems like a really childish thing to do, but I've ranked my MSN contacts by how much I want to talk to them. I tried to apply variations on algorithms like bubble sort.

Hopefully none of them will ever read this or ever have the chance to take any offense. Anyone who finds himself or herself in such a position should reflect that this list makes no attempt to assign a value to anybody's worth, merely the order in which I would choose to start a conversation with them.
Since I'm probably the only person in the world who knows this specific combination of people, the list will be relatively meaningless for anyone else, especially if you don't know me nor anybody on the list.
But there it is, something to put in my journal.

General Election
Posted May 7, 2005
On 5th May 2005 about 60% of the British people went to the polls to vote for a new UK parliament.
I reside in the contituency of Croydon Central. Geraint Davies (Lab) was usurped by Andrew Pelling (Con) who won by a margin of merely 75 votes.
My pal Kai lives in Bethnal Green, which saw the defeat of Oona King (Lab) at the hands of George Galloway's supporters.
My pal Mayuri lives in Cardiff Central which was gained by the Lib Dems from Labour.
My second cousin Benny lives in Erewash and saw the election of Labour's Liz Blackman and also the humiliating failure of Robert Kilroy-Silk of Veritas.
By hoopy friend Lerys saw Tom Brake hold Carshalton and Wallington for the Liberal Democrats.
Et cetera et cetera!
Lab 356, Con 197, LD 62, Others 30.

April
Posted Apr 28, 2005
April 2005 has been proved to contain the following things:
April Fool's day, on the kalends.
Rain showers and changeable weather.
Tom's birthday.
Three weeks of political campaigning for the UK general election.
Some revision for students!
Family Fun Night at Shirley Methodist Church.
(Inexhaustive subjective list)

Living Proof

They say that if all you ever do is say nasty things and be mean to people, then you'll end up a bitter twisted miserable person with no friends. But I think that can happen even if you're nice to people.
