I've terminated my ACA healthcare today because the company I work for has started offering health insurance. I feel quite privileged in a way to have been in on Obamacare at the beginning and I'm sad not to be a part of it any more.

I ended the call to ACA representative by telling her that after the next presidential election I hope she and all her colleagues still have a job because... you know. Republicans

There are those who know far more about the politics of this country who say that the ACA could not be repealed now, both in the way that it's become a part of the fabric of the country and because of the backlash against the Republican Party that would happen if they consigned it to the bin.

I hope they're right. And I hope there's no Republican president two years from now.

Just get a bloody national health service America.

Yep... I personally think the ACA is a fiasco. It failed to address key factors of rising health care costs. There is little real cost control for healthcare providers (ask to see your local hospitals "cost master") and pharmaceutical companies, and it just guaranteed the insurance industry more customers.

It truly is a plan aimed at assuaging republicans, based on previous republican plans; and that they still fight so stubbornly against it without offering any viable alternatives proves it. The democrats should have realized the opposition was just politically based to deny Obama any victories and just worked on a single payer system without the republican support they were never going to get.

Ugh, health insurers are attempting to raise premiums between 20% - 40% for 2016.

My health costs went up significantly already this year. I dread what next year will be like.
