There is only one thing worse than being Gosho, and that is not being Gosho

But as long as I can remember, my eyes have sometimes seen a word and changed it to something else. I recall reading out a passage in English class when I was 11 or 12 and somehow I read 'before' as 'after'. Not such a big deal you might think, except 'Shortly after he died he made a will' doesn't make a lot of sense and got a lot of giggles around the classroom.

I could have sworn that said 'Architects' at first http://i.imgur.com/9x02cbA.jpg Wow, I thought, they must have really hated the design of that building.

Speaking of words, I've just found out what the current word du jour - twerk - means.

It's the place northern folks go to earn a living.

Another word in the OED news today, "selfie"... I believe it's a small terrier that's annoyingly needy for attention.

Today, while reading a book during my lunch (Neil Gaiman's Anansi Boys), I very briefly wondered what "arithmetic fingers" were.

Considering how much I've watched my father, mother and nearest aunt suffer from arthritis, you wouldn't think I'd confuse those words.

Of course, right now, I'm trying to remember the name of the finger counting method that was the big fad in the mid to late 80's....

Chisanbop!... That's arithmetic fingers for you!

"Mr Baggs, 30, of Wareham, grew his prize pumpkin in a polytunnel and said he dedicated almost all of his spare time growing it after sowing the seed on 13 April."

Just for a split second there, I could have sworn that he had 'decapitated almost all of his spare time' smiley - yikes
