Dang, I really must click the "Click here to be informed of new conversations" link for my own conversation forum . Sorry to take so long to reply Dragonfly, I never look at that section to see if there's anything new there. Now what's this about Mathnerd? Let me do some research (I should be getting ready for work, but you know what procrastinator's are like - any excuse for not doing something more tiresome ). I'll get back to you..... momentarily

Hmmmm, are you referring to the 'quoting licence' thing? Personally, I never accept the authority of anyone who sets themselves up as some sort of arbiter without ever getting the mandate of the people first, and we are the people! Who said that Mathnerd had the power to do that? Not I. I say we RISE UP AGAINST THE OPPRESSOR!!! Muses of the world unite, you have nothing to lose but your quoting licence.... I don't think If anyone tried to stop me from quoting, I'll quote the whole of bloody Shakespeare at 'em, followed by WarandpeaceThevicarofwakefieldJaneEyreLordoftheringsTheEncyclopaediaBrittannicaRecherchedetempsperdue and the whole of the London telephone directory . Now you'll have to excuse me, I need to go and buy some books

Singing licences?!? But how will I ever be able do my Jake Thackray or Bob Dylan impersonations? *clears throat*
If you could stand for just one time in my shoes,
You'd know what a drag it is to see yoooooooooooooooo
This megalomania of Mathnerd has to be nipped in the bud! There are a number of things we could do.... salt in the sugar bowl (she does take sugar in her coffee, doesn't she?), a bucket of water perched over the door, jelly in her shoes, a spider in her desk....
Hers is a disturbing trend which I've noticed creeping into h2g2 of late - the dark side of the force is making itself known here (did I mention I do Alec Guinness too... :::ahem::: So Luke, you want to be a Jedi).

Dragonfly. "A poet can survive everything but a misprint"-- Oscar Wilde Posted Jan 7, 2001
... You mean a REAL Jedi!?? ... YAY!!!
..I thought all muses were good by default... but I guess not... we do have a Muse of Darkness and Muse of Evilness...
Herrrmmmm....
I haven't seen Miss Mathnerd around, so I don't know how much of a threat she truly is... Still, infringing on my rights to quote and sing is appalling!!!

Awww, there there Dragonfly, don't blub . Nobody's going to take away any singing or quoting rights around here. As far as I know, Peta's the only person who can do that . We need to launch a counter-attack, maybe have a quote-in at the Musehome. Maybe we can get Tony Benn to come and speak at the rally (if we can't, I can impersonate him too )

WOW!!! !!!
A Quote-in at the Musehome!!!
...How much are we paying you!??
I LOVE that idea!!!
..Are you an h2g2muses e-group member, my dear!?? ::bats her eyes::

*Looks at the ground coyly *
Paying me? You mean we get money for this?. All this fun and cash too
I had no idea we were on egroups . I really must get over to The Musehome more often, but, well..... you know what us procrastinators are like . What's the url for the Muses sign up page (I'm on a couple of other egroups already).

The e-group is not mentioned at the Musehome... but I agree that you should visit your mother there more often...

I just signed up . At least, I think I did - I hit the 'Join' button, but I don't know if anything's happened yet. There are so many h2g2 lists at egroups .
As soon as I get back from the store, I might just drop in at the Bacchus Bar

Why do I need them at the egroups thingy? And will any of them save me money on Betty Crocker brownie mix (the Supreme ones with the little pouch, which used to be a tin , of Hershey's syrup).

When I still lived in London, but used to come here to visit friends in America, I'd always load up with as many boxes of BC Supreme brownie mix as I could cram into my luggage before going back - some for me, and some for friends. Because my friends got a taste for them, now that I live here I can send them care packages of BC in return for parcels of Ty-Phoo tea bags (over at the Procrastinators Society, we're lobbying for tea smiley btw ). Anything choccy is fine by me
How are the driving lessons coming along?

Glad to hear it . I'm told that getting a driving licence in America is a piece of cake - hell, I once had a girlfriend from Detroit who told me that in Michigan, they practically give you a licence just for being able to recognise your own car, what with Detroit being Motor Town and all
If you like choccy (and I think that you do ), look out for Green and Black's Maya Gold. I haven't been able to find it in America yet, but it's just the best - organic cocoa beans plus oil of orange, vanilla, and various spices, all organic too as far as I remember. Yum . My friend's Jack Russell once ate half a bar of my MG, and despite chocolate supposedly being poisenous to dogs (I hope I don't come back as a dog in the next life), all he got from it was a sugar rush. Funniest thing I've ever seen
