That's very spooky - last night I watched a 2006 South Bank Show about... Victoria Wood. And there was a clip of that verse from that song

It's her bestest ever song! Every time she sings another one, I wish it was this one. :D

I think she's quite brilliant, and getting better as she gets older. Dinnerladies is one of my favourite sitcoms. She's moved towards serious drama a in recent years, the way that Ronnie Barker did at a similar point in his life, and they both proved themselves to be very good at it. Eric and Ernie, the TV play about Morecambe and Wise she was in and had a hand in producing, was very good. And the South Bank Show mentioned something I hadn't heard of before - Housewife, 49. I have to get a copy of that.

I loved Dinner Ladies, but its rarely repeated on free telly.

DVD rental/purchase? Hmm, I wonder...

Dinnerladies isn't on Netflix over here, which doesn't surprise me, but Housewife, 49 is, which does.

I don't buy er, 'media' for TV and films anymore after the amount of VHS I've had to just throw away. Blockbusters has gone, no where else in town to rent them and I had a subscription movie renter thing before which was rubbish.

So if it's not on telly I don't see it anymore.
