As for me though, I have actually left the house once or twice lately and gone out, which I don't do very often except to go to work

I'm still getting fed up with plaster underneath the fingernails I've got left. I've got to let the woodburner go out tonight to clean underneath it as well . Ah the joys of decorating!

Decorating The only good thing about it is when you knock off for the day and open a beer

The weather thread might liven up a bit more in the coming weeks - it's tornado season

Wow, I'm glad we don't get them around here, not with the amount of trees still left in the garden. I'll pop over and subscribe

We generally don't get them this far south. I think there have been two or three actually in Austin since I've been here, and all on one day! We're at the far southern tip of tornado alley, but the thunderstorms at this time of the year can be spectacular

Mind you, before I moved to Austin I asked the Mrs Gosho-to-be about tornadoes and she said Austin was too far south to get them... omitting to mention the Jarrell tornado of two years earlier http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Central_Texas_tornado_outbreak

By the way, Jarrell is about as far from Austin as Manchester is from Liverpool. Not far enough when there's an F5 on the loose, as far as I'm concerned.

Wow no, as I live just off the East Lancs, and not too far from the Ship Canal, I'm now double glad that's one thing that didn't come over on the ships!
