What's your schedule like this weekend (or for future reference any normal summer weekend)?
I'm giving more than half a thought to hopping on the bike and riding to Austin this weekend and catching a flick at the Draft House. (reminding my self to find the one on Lamar on my GPS.)
This is all very tentative but even if I don't make it out there this weekend I definitely plan on riding out to Austin some weekend this Summer.
Would any of your coworkers know who "Gosho" is?

Nope, and if you ask for 'that English bloke', they might point you at Liam, who's from Yorkshire You should ask for Jim.
I'm working day shifts Saturday and Sunday - I usually get out any time between 4pm and 7pm. That's my usual weekend schedule although I sometimes have to work an evening on Saturday. Which film are you planning on seeing?

Well, this weekend isn't working out after all, but I'm going to keep my eye on the upcoming film lists and find some summer film worth seeing and head out your way. (If I did make it out there this weekend I'd probably watch The Brothers Bloom.)

Let me know as much as you can in advance - if we watch a flick together I can a) get us both in for free and b) get $10 off the bill

Oh, some exceptions.
If it's the first weekend of a big film there's little chance of me getting us free tickets - we can't get freebies for any show that's likely to sell out, and if we log too many free tickets in an opening week the studios will slap a $10,000 fine on us, so make it a film that's already been out a week or two.

Shouldn't be a problem. I'd probably want to see something independent or foreign. I don't bother with blockbuster type films.

Them'll be a bit thin on the ground during the summer, especially at the weekend and especially at Lamar, but something might crop up at The Ritz. Watch this space http://www.originalalamo.com/Calendar.aspx?l=2

There's always this too, but no freebies, no beer and no food.
This place is across the street though http://austin.citysearch.com/profile/11657295/austin_tx/silhouette_restaurant_bar.html
