Liss
Liss, Hampshire. U.K. Liss is an interesting place, if slightly anarchic. The village centre is festooned with double yellow lines that everybody completely ignores when parking, for example. Also, we have more bus stops than busses! The area has, perhaps, more than it's share of individualists and eccentrics. This is possibly because there is no state of inebriation known to man in which it is not possible to pronounce the word 'Liss'. (Try it!) This facilitates travel home from all regions of the Galaxy, even after consuming copious quantities of That Ole Janx Spirit, or possibly half a gallon of Gales H.S.B. It may be that beings who are heading for entirely different sectors of the Galaxy have arrived here as a result of their inebriate ramblings being mistaken for directions by hyperspace shuttle pilots late on Saturday evenings. We also have a lot of sheep. Some of them are surprised. I live here. I am seldom surprised. Go here to know more: http://members.aol.com/lisshampshire/guide/hires/frmst1.htmConversations

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
