They're all spiteful songs for or about or related to a girl I once loved.

Well I've always thought that writing stuff is a good way to get things out of your head. Especially when you don't want to talk about them to someone.

I tried talking but ended up making things worse. I've developed a habit of doing that.

That's okay. I seem to do that a lot too. What I want to say never seems to come out the way I want to say it, so I end up digging myself an awful lot of holes!

Just heard the Manics 'Design for Life' on the radio. Great!

It's a beautiful record isn't it. I'm currently humming the new single constantly. I think it's the best yet. If you want tearjerkingly beautiful though find a copy of the stealph sonic orchestra remix of The EVerlasting.

I've just got out one of thier albums from the library. Can't think of the title offhand, but its got Nobody Loves You and If You Tolerate This Your Children Will Be Next on it.

Haven't listened to it yet though.

That'll be This Is My Truth Tell Me Yours. Quite mellow compared to some of their other material. My fave track is Born A Girl. As Nicky said all of the worlds wars are started by men. They control the arguments, they push the buttons etc.

Seeing as you're writing all this music, are you doing anything music related at college (or are you working?- I don't know)?

No i'm doing maths, physics, eng lang/lit and media A2s.

I'm doing english lang, Film studies and art. I had to retake my GCSE maths last year so that was my fouth subject. I'm quite glad I'm only doing three. Less stress. would've done english lit/lang, or just english lit, but the whole Chaucer thing put me off!
Haven't got a part time job at the moment.

how's media going? I know a couple of people at college who are doing that as well as film.

Media's ok. For your knowledge Forever delayed is a huge pile of dingo's excrement. Motorcycle Emptiness and The Everlasting are both cut short and there's only on etrack from the Holy Bible.

Only I'm getting a bit confused here, as motorcycle emptiness isn't on the This is My Truth... album. Wish it was, I like it.

Tis the best of. I'm not suggesting you do (you can make your own mind up) but I'd say you'd be better off saving your money and witing until Generation terrorists and The Holy Bible are £6.99 each and buying them.

Have been trying to listen to the rest of the This is My Truth...album. Its typical that two of the tracks wouldn't play. It must be scratched. That's the trouble with borrowing stuff from the library. All the 'Powers that Be' make a big fuss over copyright and put loads of signs up by the racks saying its illegal to record stuff off CD's (everyone ignores it anyway, and theres nothing the library can do about it) but they don't say, please be careful as you are not the only person using these etc. They ought to get their priorities right.

Good point altough nowadays i do less of the copying. I just take one or two tracks to pass the time until i actually buy the CD (about 50% of my collection has been bought this way)
