What's supposed to happen?

These gauges here show how it moves through the air, so we know how the shovel will respond as it is swooshed towards the target....
*the shovel approaches test velocity*

Cool... *stares at the spinning shovel, almost hypnotized*

*they are staring at the shovel so intently that they fail to notice a slight vibration beginning to affect it's motion*

*keeps staring*

*finally notices as the shovel wobbles alarmingly and reaches to shut the test down, but it is too late, and each blade flies off at incredible velocity*
