Hi Nick. I've read the journal of your 2007 travels now. You obviously had a great time.
Is everybody as homey as this in Europe? I don't know. I've certainly found people to be very friendly wherever I go, whether it is in Europe, Egypt, the States or Canada.

In the morning, having a smoke, I chatted with Aye Bee's in-laws in her gardens. As though we knew each other for years. In Wales, an early morning walk introduced us to a couple of chaps out for the morning paper. Despite differences of accent, we had a fine chat about the day. Aside from one surly security guard at the Cardiff airport, we did not encounter one person who wasn't simply open and nice.
Maybe it was just my cologne.
