The Sea of Marmara
Ah, the poor Sea of Marmara. There are so many maps that leave this small sea's name, or even the sea itself, out. Though it seems so utterly insignificant, this small sea actually connects the Mediterranian Sea and the Black Sea. The Sea of Marmara is connected to the Black Sea by the Bosporus, which is right next to the city of Istanbul. The Mediterranean Sea is attatched by the Dardanelles to the small sea. So, though it is so small and seemingly unimportant, this sea facilitates trade from countries along the Mediterranian Sea to places like Istanbul and areas along the Black Sea making life a lot easier for many people.
