Hi Zarquon,

in return I'm visiting you now.

As I see, we have some things in common:
first of all - jazz. Of course, I know Al Di Meola; I saw him many times in concerts. I love his famous 'Friday night at San Francisco' with Paco De Lucia and John McLaughlin. Do you know his CD 'Di Meola plays Piazzolla'? Great stuff: Argentinian tango's. Mhmmm...
You said you love jazz guitarists - how about Mike Stern? I'm always able to recognize his sound, you know. I met him in Warsaw, he is a very nice person.

Then - Doris Day films: I love those 50s movies. My friends are laughing at (on? hmm, sometimes English is difficult for me, sorry for the mistakes) me. Methinks, she had a marvellous voice, but she did much to less jazz singing in my opinion.

Hi Kasia!!

Thanks for dropping by.

I haven't heard "Di Meola Plays Piazzolla" but I will certainly see if it is available here. I have been listening to him since his very first album (before CD!!) and last year Sony Music released a CD called "The Collection" which includes a lot of the best stuff from his earlier albums - it's great listening.

Mike Stern ... sorry I must have missed out somewhere ... to be honest I haven't heard of him (if you can convert CD to MP3 you could maybe e-mail be a short sample?)

Doris Day films are great aren't they? I prefer the comedies with Rock Hudson and James Garner - I have them on video and watch them all the time!!

Now then, please do not apologise for your English - you actually make me feel very guilty - as a child I could speak perfect Polish but now I only remember a few words - it is probably because my father died over 15 years ago and without any other family here there's not really anyone in my life speaking the language. But I do still carry on certain Polish traditions - especially when it comes to eating and drinking!!

I still enjoy Wisnowka (home made) - I will travel great distances here to find Krakus Gherkins and Kabanos!!

And on Sunday it will be my first day this year for mushroom picking in the forests!!

Well I've been chatting away for far too long .... oh, by the way - what do you do for work? Are you using your language talents?
