Bob Goya
Bob Goya is my pseudonym. I am 65 years of age and live in Hollywood,California. I have and continue to work in the entertainment field as a pianist/entertainer playing The American Songbook in numerous restaurants and saloons in the Los Angeles area.
I have a variety of favorite entertainers; among these are the late great Bobby Short.
In the field of philosophy and literature I am an admirer of Ayn Rand. I also like the work of O'Henry, Erich Hoffer, and do read books by former Objectivist, psychologist, Nathaniel Branden( I'm particularly fond of his book, The Psychology of Self-Esteem)
I find Miss Rand's work quite illuminating and agree with her philosophy.
Currently I am working of a musical show of which I am engaged in writing the book, music and lyrics.
I am a graduate of Hollywood Professional School (1963) and I am a self-taught musician and composer and continue to study on my own.
Others that I've always admired are: Irving Berlin, Cole Porter and Sir Noel Coward.
