Thanks for that, it can get a bit rough on the old sarcasm thread, the usual suspects know what it's all about, no names mentioned, but I genuinely don't like upsetting innocent byestanders, and it's a compliment to you that I thought you were one! Cheers, Ham.
Hi Ham

I see your in the same sort work as i thanks for compliment there's good and bad in that thread but after all it is a sarcasm thread and after all.

Just retired actually, must update my PS! I am looking for some gainful employment whether or not it will be in Social Work is debatable, I'm frankly burnt out and traumatised, but got out before it started showing! What do you do then Princess?
Hi Ham
hammondorgan Posted Feb 22, 2007
I've never worked with children directly since I was a student, but I do (sorry did) get involved in child protection quite a bit, I worked in Probation and Mental Health, but in truth I'm glad to be away from it. I'm sure you are doing very valuable work. See you.
Hi Ham
*Princess*of*Hearts* Posted Feb 22, 2007
I'm off at moment due to my mother being not well and due to stress i was get too involved you see.
How are you today and what have you been doing mr ham?
Hi Ham
hammondorgan Posted Feb 23, 2007
Hello Princess, sorry you're not so good, I know how easy it is to get sucked in, and these days, you don't get the support you need and deserve, for goodness sake, don't think it's any weakness in you, just get well and look at your options. I'm just having an easy few weeks myself before deciding what I want to do next, and, like you I guess, de-stressing and building my mental resources up, you can't do much for others if you're a wreck yourself, and that's the way I was getting, and I guess I'm a good bit older than you! All the best.

Hi Ham
hammondorgan Posted Feb 23, 2007
Well, it takes a lot of courage to tackle these things, and I admire you for giving it another go despite your negative experience at school, adult education is good anyway, it's a great way of making new friends, I'll bet you get a lot out of it. Anyway, you're having a fairly long written conversation with me and I get your meaning perfectly well, have a good weekend, Ham.

Princess ps. my names hilary you can call me Hils for short
Hi Ham
hammondorgan Posted Feb 28, 2007
Thanks for that Hils, no I support Newcastle! Wigan indeed! I'll bet you felt better as soon as you made your mind up, well done. Of course there's the finances to think about, but presumably you can manage. As I said earlier, don't think that you can't do a job just because of this experience, I guess you were left with more than anybody could be expected to deal with, it's not always like that. Ham.

Yep, the weather's rubbish here too Princess, just getting ready to go for my regular Sunday beer. Yep, Ped mailed me too to tell me what a great rugby player he was, I didn't understand that either, but each to his own. I'm looking for some work, hopefully part-time, got to speak to someone tomorrow actually, enjoy your lunch if you do get out!
