Thelrik of the Jagged Axe (AKA Matt)

I see you've managed to sniff your way into my little corner of the universe, then. And I don't suppose you'll want to know more about me, since you've taken the time to come here. Unless, of course, it was all a terrible mistake, in that case you'll be wanting to hit that "Back" button on your server. No, I'm not going to provide a link. You can make your own desperate escape route.

As for the rest of you who really do care, here I am. If you positively insist on encapsulating my personality and lifestyle into a single, convenient, catch-all label, well, forget it. Simply won't work. I've devoted a good portion of my life to the avoidance and evasion of such stereotypes, and I'll not let you screw it all up now. If you positively insist on having one anyway, then read on, and figure it out for yourself. If you do manage to come up with The Word, then do tell me. Really. I think there's a forum thingy at the bottom of the page; post it there. I'm actually quite curious as to what you come up with.

So, first, I'm a gamer. Video games, role-playing games, all sorts of games. Except for those sports games thingies. Rather avoid them, myself. But RPGs especially. Loads of fun, those. Great way to get away from it all for a bit, whip up a reality of your own making and live it out, or experience the fruits of another's imagination. Right now, I'm active in a sci-fi anime based game, a live-action Vampire game, and a Dark Medieval/Fantastic Mage game. Look it up, okay? Even online, just search for it somewhere and you'll come up with tons of sites devoted to the hobby. In fact, there's even a pretty informative and well-written entry on the subject in the Guide.

Moving on, I'm also an actor. Really, I'm even in the Intl' Thespian Society. My high school is home to the most kick-ass drama program, ever. But EVER. Acting's just a trip, hey? Try it yourself sometime, you'll know what I mean. So I like to create other realities, then. And experience them. And then I read a lot, and I've also chosen the path of intellectual masochism known as the IB program. It's International (That's what the I stands for), so someone else will know what I'm talking about. And a love of all things Monty Python (Wahay!), and so on and such forth. I've gone on long enough, I think. If you positively must know more, then email me or something. [email protected], eh?

So now we come to the question: Who's Thelrik? He's a mountain dwarf (ala AD+D) who's favorite means of goblin-smashing is a mighty two-handed BigAss BattleAxe (TM) with an ExtendO Xtra-Reach Telescopic Handle (TM). He enjoys gutting goblins, eviscerating ogres, and generally cutting the digestive tract out of any evil monster he comes across. He lives, eats, even sleeps in his plate mail ¹, and his most distinctive attribute and cause for ridicule is not suitable for young readers... though I'll tell you, it's really small². Despite this... shortcoming, he did manage to father a half-dwarf by the name of Cattie who became a Skald³. So, that's Thel.

A quick note to those who would peruse my Journal: Read from the first entry (Scroll all the way down) to the latest entry. It'll make more sense that way. Unless, of course, you've already read those bits, in which case, you know where the latest entries are. Should be updated about weekly.
