Haribol,
i (was) a vegan from 1988-1992, then got married and gave it up in an attempt to emulate the Donna Reed School of Marital Bliss. Still blissful (and still married!), I have been a lacto-vegetarian and a Hare Krsna since 2000.

Course you can! I was vegan for a while too, but I couldn't stand vegan cheese (used it to rub out my mistakes 
) and the lack of vegan choices whilst eating out. Being veggie suits me fine though. Welcome to the society!
